Does anyone else have a problem with blushing/flushing?

I often blush in social situations. I don't mean a slight blush but a full body beat red blush. It's so embarrasing that I try to avoid going anywhere, unless I know there will only be people i'm comfortable with present. I don't always have that option though so I've embarrased myself a few times.

Hello, I used to have this problem in my teens and I do remember pushing myself to go out and finally I got more used to meeting people and it stopped happening. I know it is very distressing and embarrassing. I can say that no flush niacin and folic acid together are very good at calming down adrenaline and I think they would help you enormously. They certainly help me a lot. Maybe a very good b-complex with some magnesium would be good too. They are nutrients so would actually do you good. Sugary and refined white foods are not good for this type of anxiety either. Celery, green leaves and lean animal protein are excellent. I sincerely hope this is of help to you. You can easily find no flush niacin (vitamin b3) on ebay and other internet sites. My very best wishes to you and lots of luck Christiana x

Yes!!!! I can be sitting in chapel at school and my friends will tell me I'm blushing. Used to go BEAT red upfront. So embarrassing! Also when I'm meeting new people I feel it go red. Sometimes I flush during panic attacks too. The last time I performed though I tried to put my heart in it be myself. I was super nervous but no one noticed and everyone said I did great and was confident! I hope that can give you some hope. So you learn to hide it but what's more important is learning coping skills and having people who will love you for who you are, red face and all! Positive self talk, deep breathing, and drinking peppermint tea have helped with my anxiety. Also slowly exposing yourself to what your scared of while doing relaxation techniques. Are you in counseling? I've found cognitive behavorial therapy to be helpful for me
